Scott Patrick Nesmith, 53, of Williamsport, MD, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Born July 24, 1964 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Nellie McKee Nesmith and the late Herman Cletus Nesmith. He was a 1982 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. He attended The University of Alabama where he played in the University's Million Dollar Marching Band and was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. He was employed by Garden State Tannery as their plant manager for many years traveling among Asia, Europe and South America. He later went on to work at Certainteed as their plant manager and Beck Manufacturing as their supervisor. He was baptized at Grace United Methodist Church in Hagerstown, MD. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. He had a love for US history, motorsports and Alabama Football. Roll Tide! He is survived by his mother, Nellie McKee Nesmith; two daughters, Ashton Nesmith-Kochera and Carmen Nesmith; one sister, Alisa Nesmith Cooper and her husband, Joshua Cooper, of Northern Virginia; one niece, Eryn Cooper; and one Granddaughter, Nevaeh.
