SCOTT DEAN MOORE, 51, of Hagerstown, MD, passed quietly away Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Hagerstown. Born November 1, 1962 in Washington County, MD. He was the (adopted) son of the late Walter James Moore and Hilda Mae Moore. Scott was employed with Downtown Taxi (sedan) for one year. He also worked for several furniture and transport companies: Ashley Furniture, Value City Furniture, Hardell Fuel, Hoffman Transport and D.M. Bowman trucking as a delivery driver. He is survived by a step-daughter, Hilary McCarty of WV; a step-granddaughter, Aubrey McCarty; three brothers, Gary Moore, Lowell Moore and Harold Moore. Scott is also survived by his fianc and care-giver, Gina Walker, who worked with hospice to care for him. In addition to his adopted parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Moore and brother, Gene Moore. His feline special companions, Maddie and Ricky also preceded him. A memorial services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014, at 6 p.m. at the Kasiesville Bible Church, 12639 Fort Loudon Rd., Mercersburg, Pa. 17236. Pastor John Miller will officiate with his wife, Melissa Miller singing. The family will receive friends following the service till 8 p.m. Scott was cremated at his request, there will be no burial. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Washington County.
