Scott Darryl Grimm, 61, of Keedysville, MD, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. Born April 24, 1956 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late William Lester and Margaret Geneva (Hutzell) Grimm. Scott was a 1974 graduate of Boonsboro High School. He was employed for several years with Roterex, and retired from Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. Scott enjoyed gardening, softball, was an avid shuffleboard player in his younger years, and was a diehard N.Y. Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan. He is survived by one sister, Nina Keesecker; two brothers, Stephen Hutzell and Gene Grimm; a very dear niece, Tammy Sauter and husband, Raymond, and their children, Camden and Caybree; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by one sister, Janet Grimm; two brothers, Herman Grimm and Samuel Grimm; paternal grandparents, William G. and Vada Grimm; and maternal grandparents, Samuel L. and Ada Hutzell. Services will be held 11am Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Ernest Witmer will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
