Sandra "Sandy" Lee Leggett, 72, of Sharpsburg, MD, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born March 9, 1950, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Blanche I. (Ardinger) and Elton E. Reed, Sr.

She was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gary L. Leggett, Sr.; daughter, Sheri Leggett and partner, Jimmy; son, Gary L. Leggett, Jr.; grandson, Glenn Myers, Jr. and partner, Anna; sister Cheryl Henry and husband, Ronnie; brother, Elton Reed Jr. and wife, Patty; and special companion, Dixie, the family dog.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her son, Elton Eugene Leggett.

The family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 6 to 9pm.

The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 11am with Rev. Robert C. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
