RUTH MARIE TROUPE, 84, of 17942 Oak Ridge Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Gilchrist Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Born June 4, 1922 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Julia A. Neibert Hogan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair H. Troupe on February 3, 2005. She was employed with Sears, Roebuck for twenty-three years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the St. Matthew's United Methodist Church. She previously taught, and was a member of the Comrades Sunday School Class. She was a member of the church choir for many years. She was a member of the A.A.R.P. She is survived by one daughter, Tonya Sapre of Hunt Valley, Maryland; one step-daughter, Peggy Eyler of Falling Waters, West Virginia; two sons, William Cauffman of Martinsburg, West Virginia, and Larry Troupe of Richmond, Virginia; four sisters, Betty Meeker, and Naomi Horn, both of Hagerstown, Julia Donovan of New York, and Doris McCallum of Rockville, Maryland; eleven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Pearl Haines, Mildred Weller, and Mary Knicley; and two brothers, Robert Hogan, and John Hogan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. Rev. MaAn H. Barcelo of the Eastport United Methodist Church in Annapolis, Maryland will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 7 p. m.
