RUTH C. SCHLOSSER, 85 of Hagerstown, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at her home. Born October 25, 1923 in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late Arthur Franklin and Emma Irene Dolan Chambers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger S. Schlosser, Jr. She was a retired teacher from the Washington County schools and MCI Educational Department. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Women's Club and the American Legion Auxiliary, Post #42. She is survived by a son, Roger S. Schlosser, III and wife Brenda K. of Hagerstown; two granddaughters, Jennifer Ann Schlosser and Jessica Lynn Schlosser; a brother, Russell L. Chambers of Hagerstown; a sister-in-law, Barbara S. Chambers and step-mother, Eula B. Chambers, both of Hagerstown; brothers-in-law, Jack Schlosser and wife Dorothy, Victor Schlosser and wife Lila of Dallas, Texas, and sister-in law Elizabeth Cochran and husband James of Pa. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur F. Chambers. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd.. Msgr. Alfred E. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 W.
