Ruth Ann Ogle, 70, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on April 21, 2026. Born on August 6, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Richard Lyon Ogle and Vivian Slimmer Ogle.

Ruth spent most of her life in Hagerstown, where she was a devoted member of St. John's Episcopal Church and served faithfully on the Vestry. She dedicated her professional life to law enforcement and criminal justice, contributing her skills and commitment to Hood College Security, the Frederick Police Department, and the Maryland Parole Commission. In addition, she was an active member of the Maryland Classified Employees Association, serving as president for several years and advocating for her colleagues with dedication and integrity.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Joseph R. Ogle, and Catherine C. Ogle.

Ruth is survived by her sister, Patricia Ogle-Collins, and her husband, David Collins, of Herndon, Virginia; her nephews, Timothy Collins and his wife, Lyra Meurer, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Christopher Collins of Herndon, Virginia; and Barbara Frost of Portland, Maine, partner of Catherine Ogle.

A service in her memory will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 101 S. Prospect Street, Hagerstown, Maryland, on May 30, 2026 at 11:00am.
