Ruth Eleanora Schroyer Ditto, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018. She was born on November 4, 1930 in Myersville, MD. She was the daughter of the late Oscar C. and Evva Rice Schroyer. Ruth was affectionately known as the "Black Hair Lady" to so many of her friends and family. She was a homemaker and a retired Crossing Guard with the WCPS with 30 years of service. She is survived by her son, Victor C. Ditto III, and his wife, Darla of Clear Spring, MD, one sister, Amy Neely of Colorado Springs, CO, one brother, Donald Schroyer of Hagerstown, MD, and several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Victor C. Ditto Jr., her daughter, Phyliss Ahalt, two sisters, Marie Burns and Norma Nichols, and two brothers, Ralph Schroyer and Clarence Schroyer. Per her wishes, there will be no public service. Private services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
