RUTH MAE AUSHERMAN, 88 of 19925 Trengail Road, Hagerstown, MD., died on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Ravenwood Lutheran Village. Born October 9, 1921 in Pikeside, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Theo Hilbert Fuss, Sr. and Bessie Lena Kilmer Fuss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan L. Ausherman. She was of the protestant faith. She retired from Pangborn Corp. in 1981 after 36 years of service. She was on outside messenger for 26 years and a senior clerk for 10 years. She was a member of AARP, Quarter Century Club at Pangborn, Fraternal Order of Eagles #684 Auxiliary, Amvets Post #10 Auxiliary; American Legion Post #211 Auxiliary; V.F.W. Post #1936 Auxiliary; Associate member of U.A.W.-C.I.O. #842, Life Member of North American Rod and Gun Club Auxiliary. She was the last of her immediate family. She is survived by a son, John David Ausherman of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, Deborah S. Thomas, David M. Ausherman and Michelle R. Daley, six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters, three brothers and a great-grandson. Private graveside services will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E.
