RUDY GEORGE YOUNT, SR., 68, of 12916 Little Elliott Drive, Hagerstown, MD., died Saturday, March 20, 2010 at his home. Born May 31, 1941 in Summerville, PA., he was the son of the late Malcolm Malbourne and Leonore Mabel Newcome Yount. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Romaine Yount, August 29, 1999. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a self employed painter. He was a member of the A.P.A Pool League at Capn' Benders in Sharpsburg, MD and played in the National Championships in Las Vegas. He is survived by 2 daughters, Susan Marie Heuer of Sharpsburg and Melissa Sue Lynch of Hagerstown; 4 sons, Jeffery Lynn Yount, Rudy George Yount, Jr, Randy Ray Yount, all of Hagerstown and Eric Eugene Yount of South Carolina; 2 sisters, Geraldine Faye Stephon, and Judy Alice Day both of Summerville, PA; a brother, Eugene Arthur Yount of Summerville; 7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Yount. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park with military honors by American Legion Post #42. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown, MD.
