RUBY LORAINE REED, 78, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. Born, September 12, 1938 in Hagerstown, MD she was the daughter of the late Worthy and Flora Kelbaugh Derr. Ruby worked for Swords Market. She retired from Pantry Pride. Formerly attended Assembly of God Church, Hagerstown. Ruby is survived by her loving husband, Daniel L. Reed, Sr.; three daughters, Deborah Fiedler and husband, Paul, Lisa Sprecher and husband, Bret and Tammy Sword and husband, Bill; a son, Danny Reed, Jr. and Cheryl Meade; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a sister, Patsy Rhinehart. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Duffey and Grace Boward. Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday April 13, 2017 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Jim Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8pm, Wednesday, April 12, 2017.
