Roy Eugene Schroyer, 82, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Meritus Medical Center.

Born July 16, 1941 in Middletown, MD, he was the son of the late Ralph Eugene and Irene Gertrude (Shank) Schroyer.

He attended Middletown High School. He later worked for Genstar and retired from F. O. Day. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and spending time with his family.

Roy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alfa Schroyer; three children, Jeffrey Schroyer, Eric "Scott" Schroyer (wife, Donna), and Lisa McCoy (husband, D.J.); four grandchildren, Aaron Schroyer, Tanner McCoy, Collin McCoy, and Kami McCoy; and one brother, Wayne Schroyer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Schroyer.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 with Pastor Bill Divelbiss officiating, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
