Rosey May Wiley, 90, of Williamsport, MD died peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2023. Born in Charles Town, WV, on October 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Julia Silveous.

She was a member of Millers Tabernacle and a co-founder of Covenant Life Church International, where she loved to worship and be close to her church family who all knew and loved her as Grandma Rosey. She had a lasting impact on many people through her life; from her time as a waitress, to working at Fairchild and Moller Pipe Organ, to her days as the Sheetz Coffee Hostess in Williamsport. Rosey rose to local fame as the root beer queen of Resh Rd where she was loved by all her neighbors.

She is survived by daughters, Judy Pitsnogle of Hagerstown, MD and Phyllis Murphy of Waynesboro, PA; Daughter-in-law, Sherri Wiley of Martinsburg, WV; Grandchildren, Marty and Robin, Angie and Larry, Mike and Joanne, Rose and DJ, Ramie and Cornia, Heather and Kevin, David and Taru, David H, and Shannon; Great-grandchildren, Cole, Carly, Miranda, Zach, Chase, Lauren, Remie, Nevaeh, Noah, Nataniah, Danica, Alex, Maddie, and Calvin; Great-great-grandchildren Loralie, Aiden, Maverick; many nieces and nephews, and her great friend, Sandy Knode and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin K. Wiley; daughter, Patricia Socks; son, Timothy Wiley; sons in law, Ray Socks and Denny Pitsnogle; brothers, Bryan, Charles, Paul, James, and Harry; and sister, Mary.

Family and friends are welcomed for a visitation on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown.

A funeral service will follow the visitation, beginning at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Pastor Tim Fisher will officiate.

Interment will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
