Rose Cecilia Serpi, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, at her home. Born August 1, 1931 in Bayonne, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence (Hoffman) McCaffrey. Rose was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Halfway and a member of the Catholic Daughters for over 50 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Alex Serpi, Sr.; three daughters, Florence, Mary Ann, and Geralyn, and their spouses; two sons, Bill and Alex Serpi and their spouses; and nine grandchildren and their spouses. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by two sisters, Naomi and Anna, and daughter-in-law, Tracey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Christopher Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
