ROSALIE ANN PENTONEY, 92, of 13510 Scarlet Sage Court, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at her home. Born October 18, 1918 in Sharpsburg, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Ora B. Colbert Spence. ` She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Pentoney on May 27, 2000. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Elaine Stewart of Jefferson, Md. and Karen Pentoney Lewis of Hagerstown, Md.; one son, Larry Eugene Pentoney of Hagerstown, Md.; three sisters, Lorraine Judd, Vivian Carter both of Hagerstown and Nancy Hennesey of Flower Mound, Texas; one brother, James Spence of Fair Play, Md.; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, George R. Pentoney; one sister, Thelma White and two brothers, Donald Spence and George Spence. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Jerry Lowans will officiate. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Union Cemetery, Lovettsville, Virginia. The family will receive friends on Tuesday one hour before the service at the funeral home.
