ROSA RAYETTA DAVIS, 85, of Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro, Maryland, died on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Meritus Health Center. Born March 28, 1926 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Floyd C. Myers, Sr. and Grace Barton Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband Amos Davis in 1997. She was employed by Hagerstown Laundry for thirty-five years, retiring in 1988. She is survived by one daughter, Helen Seekford of Hagerstown; one son, Edward L. Davis, and wife, Doreen, of Hagerstown; two sisters, Peggy Kensey, and Neona Peterson, both of Hagerstown; two brothers, Floyd Myers, Jr. and Harry Myers, both of Hagerstown; two grandchildren, Roy E. Seekford and Mark Seekford, and wife, Charlene, all of Hagerstown; three great-grandchildren, Cody Seekford and Kyle Stuhler, both of Hagerstown, and Kristin Stuhler of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Violet Cramer; two brothers, Herman Myers, and Richard Myers; and a son-in-law, Cecil E. Seekford, Jr. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. John Mowen will officiate. Family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Monday from 10 to 11 a. m.
