RONALD FRANKLIN SMITH, of Smithsburg, MD, passed away Tuesday, 5/20/14 at his home. Born January 25, 1934 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Albert Franklin and Annie C. Hoover Smith. Ronald was of the Protestant faith. He was a farmer in Washington County for the last 25 years. Ronald is survived by one sister, Joan Taber and husband Herbert of Smithsburg; and one brother, Edwin E. Smith and wife Betty of Fayetteville, GA. A graveside service will be held 11am Friday, May 23, at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Gene Renner will officiate. Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
