Roger Eugene Neff, Sr., 87, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Doey's House.

Born April 3, 1938 in Boonsboro, MD, he was the son of the late John Woodrow Neff, Sr. and Myrtle Alice (Judd) Neff.

Roger was a 1956 graduate of Williamsport High School. He was a lifelong member of Redmen Tribe 84 and also belonged to the South Mountain Rod and Gun Club in Smithsburg. A faithful member of St. James Brethren Church, Roger held his religious beliefs close to his heart. He deeply loved and cherished his family, who meant everything to him.

He is survived by his beloved partner of 14 years, Patsy Fiddler; his son, Ronald Neff and wife, Lisa; seven grandchildren, Phillip Neff and wife, Samantha, Roger Neff III and wife, Brooke, Christina Neff, Ronald Neff II and wife, Jenna, Helen Crothers and husband, Shane, Raymond Neff, and Katelin Neff; as well as many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Jane Horchner and Jacqueline Hoover and husband, John; his brother, David "Eddie" Neff and wife, Mary; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roger Neff II; his sister, Alice McNabb; and three brothers, John Neff, Jr., Robert Neff, Sr., and Kenneth Neff.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 4-6pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, MD.

The funeral will be held at 11am on Monday, October 6, 2025, at St. James Brethren Church, 17718 Lappans Rd., Fairplay, MD. Mr. Tim McMillian will officiate. Interment will follow in Broadfording Cemetery.
