Roderick Hackenyos "Hack" Woltman, 75, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at Meritus Medical Center.Born August 3, 1940 in York, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel Milton and Naomi Alverta (Roderick) Woltman.Hack served with the U.S. Air Force at Bentwaters, England, then continued serving with the 211th Pennsylvania Air National Guard Unit for a number of years at Fort Indiantown Gap, PA. He retired from Roadway and was previously employed by Columbo Yogurt.Hack supported numerous charities and participated in the Polar Bear Club.He was very patriotic, loved eagles and the flag, was a Penn State fan, and loved Princess, his husky.Hack is survived by his wife of 34 years, Brenda S. Woltman; one daughter, Beverly J. Fredrickson of North Wales, PA; two sons, Rodrick L. Woltman and wife, Kim of Hanover, PA, and Shawn M. Woltman and wife, Kim of Cape Coral, FL; one step daughter, Cassandra Torres and husband, Bruce of Hagerstown; three sisters, Sharon Kohler and husband, James, Penny Wray and husband, Brian, and Kathy Goodling; three grandchildren, Sarah, Tristan, and Arieann; three step grandchildren, Evan, Spencer, and Kori; and several nieces and nephews.Hack was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth "Becky" Lehman; and one brother, Ronald Woltman.Services will be held 10am Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Burial will held 2pm Thursday, February 11, 2016 in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York, PA. Graveside military honors provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard.The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9pm at the funeral home.
