Obituary

ROBERT IVEY TILLER, III, of 15605 Over View Circle, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at his home. Born December 22, 1937 in Washington, D. C., he was the son of Mildred Leona Grimley Tiller of Hagerstown, and the late Robert Ivey Tiller, Jr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Compton Tiller. He served in the U. S. Army National Guard. He was retired from the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission in Washington D.C. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Temple. He was a member of the American Legion, Williamsport Post 202, the Redmen, Williamsport Tribe #84, and the Masons in Seat Pleasant, Maryland. He is survived by one daughter, Marisa Flint of Cocoa, Florida; one son, Robert I. Tiller, IV of Hagerstown; four sisters, Maryanne Goodrick of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Virginia Dowe and Nancy Harris, both of Myersville, Maryland, and Florence Martinez of Baltimore, Maryland; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, John H. Tiller. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday at the Emmanuel Baptist Temple, 16221 National Pike, Hagerstown. Dr. Larry G. Aikens will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Saturday at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, West Virginia. Family will receive friends at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard on Thursday from 7 to 9 p. m.
