ROBERT WITTIG THOMAS, 87, of 9723 Sharpsburg Pike, Hagerstown, Md. died on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Ravenwood Nursing Home. Born March 1, 1919 in Cumberland, Maryland he was the son of the late Griffith and Ardella Niner Thomas. He was employed with Mack Truck for 23 years. He was a member of Christ Reformed Church. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite J. Thomas; two sons, Dale Thomas of Chambersburg, Pa. and Daniel Thomas of Hagerstown; a brother, Gibson Thomas of La Plata, Md.; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret DeHaven and one brother, Everest Thomas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Don R. Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
