Robert Lee "Bobby" Staley, 69, of Hagerstown, went to be with the Lord, his parents and brothers Harry and Dave on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was the son of the late Wolford McDonald "Buck" and the late Margaret Catherine "Kate" Preston Staley.

Bobby was born on November 2, 1956 in Hagerstown, Maryland to a loving home with many siblings, including his sister Thelma Jean Stockslager (husband Eldon, deceased), brothers Harry W. (deceased) and wife Jo, William H. and wife Jane, David T. (deceased), Stephen L. and wife Deborah, and John R. and wife Terri.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

He was under the loving care and supervision of The Arc of Washington County, Inc. and lived in multiple group homes. In his younger years, Bobby participated in numerous Special Olympics events and was a long-time member of the bowling team along with his parents. His family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the care and companionship Bobby received during his many years with The Arc.

A viewing will be held from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. A prayer service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation.

Bobby will be interred beside his parents at Ceder Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
