Obituary

Robert Lee "Bob" Sprecher, 82, of Hagerstown, passed away, Thursday, March 21, 2024, at his home.

Born January 10, 1942, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Arthur Joseph and Catherine Elizabeth (Keefer) Sprecher.

Bob was a volunteer firefighter for The South End Engine 5 for over 10 years. He was a member of Williamsport Red Men Lodge 84, and Funkstown Legion Post 211, Sons of Legion.

He loved model trains and planes and his displays, and watching the orioles play.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Sprecher; three daughters, Janice Clipp, and husband, Sonny, Mary Dewease, and Lana Arvin, and partner, Jim Moore; three sons, Bobby Sprecher, and wife, Jackie, Jerry Sprecher, and wife, April, and Lloyd Dewease, and wife, Mary Beth; 11 grandchildren, Chuck Clipp, and wife, Amanda, Travis Clipp, Zachery Clipp, and wife, Ariel, Richard Arvin, Tara Singleton, Julie Sprecher, RJ Sprecher, Ashley Sprecher, Jessica Sprecher, Dylan Sprecher, and Kristy Dewease; 21 great grandchildren; one sister, Jane Pennewell; and two brothers, Randy Sprecher and Jerry Sprecher.

Bob was preceded in death by one brother, Doug Sprecher.

Funeral services will be held 7pm Monday, March 25, 2024 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Bill Divelbiss will officiate.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Monday evening.
