ROBERT LEE SMITH, SR., of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 at his home. Born, September 12, 1948 in Hagerstown MD, he was the son of the late Melvin L. Smith and Mildred May (Loveless) Smith. Robert was employed with Dunkin Brother Tire Company for over 40 years retiring in 2007. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Robert enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins. He loved his family. Robert was a member of the Owls Club in Hagerstown, MD. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Barbara Mays of Hagerstown, MD and Bobbie Fritts; a son, Robert Lee Smith, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Cynthia L. Smith on October 21, 2007. A service will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Hagerstown, MD. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
