Robert Hardy Smith, 76, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Doeys House. Born January 25, 1941 in New York, he was the son of the late Wilie Harper. Robert was employed with Walmart in Hagerstown. He was a member of the Hagerstown Christian Church, and he was the road manager for the singing group, The Main Ingredient. He was an avid Washington Redskins and NY Yankees fan. Robert is survived by his wife, M. Francine Smith; one daughter, Crystal Yulenne Smith; two sons, Cheyenne Robert Smith and wife, Alvalyn, and Sean Robert Bowman; three step sons, Gregory Jackson, Jeffrey Jackson, and Richard Jackson; one sister, Madeline Ford; four grandchildren, Lamont Rashaun Singleton, Nicholas Ramon Singleton, ShaNyce Bowman and Karma Bowman; and great granddaughter, Anhalee Smith. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Hagerstown Christian Church, 336 Linganore Avenue, Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Brad Nigh will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9pm, Friday, December 22, 2017 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD and one hour prior at the church.
