ROBERT LEE (RED) SHINGLETON, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital. Born in Grafton, West Virginia, he was the son of the late John Merle and Opal Beatrice Duckworth Shingleton. He served in the U. S. Army. He was retired from Mack Truck, Inc. He was a member of the Amvets Post No. 10, the American Legion, Funkstown Post 211, and the Goodwill Athletic Association. He is survived by his wife, Sandi Murray Shingleton; one daughter, Kimberly Shingleton of Hagerstown; two sons, Robert Shingleton, Jr. of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and Michael Shingleton of Hagerstown; two brothers, Dave Shingleton of Richmond, Virginia, and Jack Shingleton of Neoga, Illinois; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Wednesday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Robert V. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
