Robert (Bob) Beveridge McKinley, III, 88, of Fairplay (St. James), MD, died suddenly Thursday,

June 13, 2024, at his home.

Born December 18, 1935, in Loartown, MD, he was the son of the late Robert B, Jr. and Alice

Wampler McKinley.

Robert is survived by his schoolmate friend and wife Elizabeth Urbas McKinley, who were

married for 72 years.

Robert was an electrical engineer, retired from the Potomac Edison (Alleghany Energy) Company.

He was a member of the Christian Congregation (Pleasant Valley) of Jehovah's Witnesses since

1957. Robert served as a Servant or Elder for 65 years of the congregation and was a full time

Pioneer Minister for 27 years. Robert enjoyed traveling with his wife to many international

locations as a delegate to conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Robert is also survived by two sons: Gregory and wife Bonnie; Dwayne and wife Teresa; 13

grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Dorothy Snyder and Helen Ray Obitts; and

many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his two daughters: Theresa and

Deborah, his eldest son Robert B. IV, three brothers: David, William, and John, and two sisters:

Alyce Fay Franklin and Betty Jean Butts.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 1PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's

Witnesses, 30 Nottingham Rd, Hagerstown, MD. Funeral arrangements by Minnich Funeral

Home. Robert will be interred at the Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport, MD.
