Robert David McConnell, 77, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Sterling Health Care in Boonsboro.

Born September 24, 1946 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Robert Dale and Edna Mae (Schleigh) McConnell.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 42 ½ years, Patricia McConnell, who passed away on February 22, 2018.

Robert was a 1964-graduate of St. Maria Goretti Catholic High School. He was employed with Mack Truck for 38 ½ years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of Paramount Baptist Church.

Robert is survived by his two sons, Joseph B. Young, Jr. and wife, Connie, and Michael A. McConnell and wife, Sherri; one brother, Dale Vaughn McConnell and wife, Sue; and four granddaughters, Sara, Emily and Katherine Young and Tessa McConnell.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
