Robert Leroy Maphis Sr., 79, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at his home. He was born on December 12, 1943 in Maryland to the late Lester Daniel Maphis and Vesta Startzman Maphis.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the love of his life and his wife of 52 years, Betty Jane Maphis, his son, Robert L. Maphis Jr., his sisters, Genevieve Eaton and Phyllis Bowles, and his brothers, Ernest L. Maphis and George Maphis.

He was very loved and cared for by his daughter-in-law, Penny Maphis. "I will never forget Dad and his "bunny trails". I will always love and miss my dad!"

Family and friends are welcomed for a visitation on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Pastor Bill Divelbiss will officiate.

Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Williamsport.
