Robert Jack Hurd, 60, of Hagerstown, MD passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Doeys House. Born November 8, 1959, he was the son of Robert Hurd and Rosalie (Itnyre) Grove. He is the step-son of Edward Grove III, who he called dad. He married Linda Snodderly on January 28, 2013 and spent his life with her. Robert graduated from South Hagerstown High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid bowler, golfer, and Red Skins fan. He had a profound love for dogs and cherished his fur-babies and Tootsie, the poodle. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Hurd, and his nephew, Roy Hurd, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hurd; his daughter, Holly (Hurd) Perkins; grandson, Aden Spoonire; sister, Ruth Grove; and brother, Edward Grove IV. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and work friends. The funeral service will be held 1pm on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD 21740. Pastor Bobby Robinson will officiate. Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 18, 2020, from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
