ROBERT LESLIE "LES" FRYE, 89, of 1040 Benjamin Place, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown. Born January 17, 1916 in Lovettsville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Robert and Alice Hickman Frye. He retired from the Army Corp of Engineers. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Williamsport, Maryland. He is survived by his wife of seventy years, Gertrude Frye; one daughter, Carole Lockitsky of Hagerstown; one son, Gene Frye of Falling Waters, West Virginia; one sister, Evelyn Eversole of Williamsport, Maryland; one brother, Richard Frye of Buckeystown, Maryland; five grandchildren, Cheryl McCathran of Berne, New York, Tori Evans and Scott McCathran, both of Hagerstown, Marli Lockitsky of Frederick, Maryland, and Brian Frye of Falling Waters, West Virginia; and five great-grandchildren, Caitlin Frye and Erinn Frye, both of New Market, Maryland, Gracie Evans and Jacob Evans, both of Hagerstown, and Kyle Frye of Midlothian, Virginia. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Demory and Gay Ovelman; and one brother, Leroy (Bud) Frye. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday at the Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsport, Maryland. Rev. W. Gregory Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Lovettsville Union Cemetery in Lovettsville, Virginia. Family will receive friends at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Friday from 2 to 4 p. m. and 7 to 9 p. m.
