Robert "Bobby" Eugene Kendle, Jr., 86, of Boonsboro, MD, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Doey's House in Hagerstown.
Born December 7, 1938 in Beaver Creek, MD, he was the son of the late Robert Eugene Kendle, Sr. and Elizabeth Jane (Sinnisen) Kendle.
Bobby was a graduate of Boonsboro High School. He worked at Potomac Edison for 35 years as a lineman. He also worked for AC&T and later went back to Potomac Edison as a lineman trainer. He was a very punctual person.
At heart, he was an old farm boy with a deep love for tractors, especially Case models. He participated in rodeos. He served in the Army's 101st Airborne Division, the "Screaming Eagles." In 1971, he competed in the JFK 50-Miler, finishing in 41st place. Additionally, he spent time as an umpire for Little League and girls' softball.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 62 years, Glenda Kendle; his daughter, Melinda Kendle; his son, Duane Kendle; grandson, Croix Souders; and brother, Steve Kendle (Patty).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry Kendle, Jimmy Kendle, and Billy Kendle.
