ROBERT EUGENE "BIRDIE" BILLMAN, 78, of 17944 Broadfording Road, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia. Born April 26, 1929 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Rev. Chester A. Billman and France V. McCleary Billman. He served in the U.S .Army. He had a band called Nu Tones. He was a member of the People Gospel Tabernacle and he attended Virginia Avenue Church of God. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four year, Reva B. Seal Billman; one daughter, Vicky D. Billman of Hagerstown, MD; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Nelva Smith; two brothers, Jack R. Billman and William A. Billman. Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415, East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Dr. A. Paul Harne will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
