Rita Faye Kline, 79, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Williamsport Health and Rehab Center.

Born January 22, 1947 in Washington County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Doris (Rohrer) Eichelberger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Kline.

Rita worked for many years as a dedicated bookkeeper with Dual Highway Exxon before continuing her career at the Staples Distribution Center. She was a faithful member of Broadfording Bible Brethren Church and an active member of the AMVETS Post 10 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons, James Horning and wife, Mary, and Jeff Horning and wife, Laura; stepchildren, Danny Pike, Tammy Hagmer, and Cindy Williams; one sister, Celia Knodle; two brothers, Kenneth Eichelberger and Tony Eichelberger; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Sammy Horning and Paul Horning; two stepsons, Ricky Pike and David Pike; and three sisters, Doris Houser, Kendra Harshman, and Ada McElfish Blanchard.

The service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. R. William Wyand will officiate. Burial will follow in Broadfording Church Cemetery.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 6:00-8:00pm.
