RICHARD FRANKLIN "ARCH" PURDHAM, 72, of 19908 Jefferson Blvd., Hagerstown, Maryland, died Friday, May 11, 2007 at his home. Born November 5, 1934 in State Line, Maryland, he was the son of the late Isaac N. and Elsie L. Schindle Purdham. He served in the U. S. Army. He was Co-Owner of Purdham Brothers, Inc. He was a member of the Williamsport Red Men, Williamsport Moose Lodge 2462, Washington County AMVETS Post 10 and North American Rod and Gun Club. He is survived by his wife, Linda Shoop Purdham; one daughter, Sharon Brown of Hagerstown, MD; three sons, Philip Kirby of Williamsport, MD, Michael Kirby of Halfway, MD and Lewis Kirby of Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Shirley Smith of Clear Spring, MD and Dorothy Heil of Hagerstown, MD; five brothers, Donald Purdham, Elmer Purdham and Mert Purdham all of Williamsport, MD, Kenneth Purdham of Falling Waters, WV and Ralph Purdham of Hagerstown, MD; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Joy E. Zepp will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747
