Richard "Rich" Daniel Newlin, Jr., 66, of Hagerstown, MD, went to meet his Lord, pap and sister Brenda, on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Born December 5, 1957 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Bettylee Jane (Kimmel) and the late Richard D. Newlin, Sr.

Rich graduated from Hagerstown South High School, and then served in the Marine Corps. Afterward, he worked at Statten Furniture and Shifflet Electric.

Rich was a Christian. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting, and going camping. He was an avid bowler and had a 300-game set.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Pamela Brenner of Great Cacapon, WV, and two daughters.

He was preceded in death by his dad, sister, Brenda, and his fur buddy, Champ.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Manor Church Cemetery, 18511 Manor Church Road, Boonsboro, MD. Pastor Bill Divelbiss will officiate.
