Richard C. Martin, 93, of Hagerstown, MD, died at home after a brief illness.

Born December 29, 1930 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Clyde and Edna (Stickler) Martin.

Richard attended Hagerstown High School and Hagerstown Business College.

He was in the US Army in the Signal Corps during the Korean War and was stationed in Austria and Germany.

He retired from Steffey & Findlay, Inc. in Hagerstown, MD after 47 years.

He was a long-time, active member of the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren.

Richard is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Margaret B. (Gossert) Martin; daughter, Karen L. Reed; granddaughter, Lesley "Michelle" Lomardo; son-in-law, Michael D. Ball; sister, Doris Horst; and brother, James Martin.

He is survived by his children, Diana M. Ball, Richard K. Martin, and Cynthia S. Artz (James); grandchildren, Rachel Fowler (Frank), Samantha Angleberger, Amanda Angleberger (Jessie Reynolds), and Erin Walter (Alex); son-in-law, Terry Reed; and great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held.
