Richard Lynn Young, 76, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023.

Born May 14, 1946 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Ivy E. (Warner) and John H. Young, Jr.

Richard worked as a draftsman, part-time at Minnich Funeral Home, and with the Republican Committee. He was also a member of the Jaycees of Hagerstown.

He is survived by his sister, Susan Stottlemyer (husband, Donald); brother, Dave Warner (wife, Debra); six nieces, Sandra Miller, Jamie Lafferty, Katy Hornbecker, Lacy Hill, Betsy Warner, and Molly Warner; one nephew, Charlie Warner, IV; two great nieces, Ivy Hill and Lillian Hill; and two great nephews, Noah Taveras and Landon Lafferty.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, February 23, 2023, with Pastor Greg Shook officiating at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial donation be given to American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
