RICHARD STEPHEN "RICK" HENRY, 60 of Funkstown, Maryland, died on Friday, November 26, 2010 at the V.A. Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Born December 27, 1949 in Hagerstown, Md. he was the son of Emma E. "Libby" Henry Seppala of Hagerstown and the late Lester B. Henry. He was the step-son of Wallace F. Seppala. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a surveyor and landscaper and had also been employed with Byron Tannery. In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by a brother, Kenneth W. Henry of Funkstown, Md.; a nephew, David A. Henry and wife Kristen of Hagerstown, great niece, Alexandra Morgan Henry and great nephew, Samuel William Henry. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Graveside military honors will be conducted by Washington County AMVETS Post 10 and the Marine Corps League of Hagerstown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one half hour prior to the service.
