Richard "Dick" William Harbaugh, Sr., 86, of Williamsport, MD, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Born July 25, 1931 in Pondsville, MD, he was the son of the late Harry Oscar and Lydia Mae (Johnson) Harbaugh. Dick was a 1951 graduate of Hagerstown High School. He was a farmer most of his life. He was a member of Salem Reformed Church and was very passionate towards the Salems Missions and participated in several missions himself. Dick is survived by his loving wife, Esther Harbaugh; two daughters, Kathy Wade and husband, Charles, and Roberta Maas and husband, Donald; one son, Richard Harbaugh, Jr. and wife, Shelly; two sisters, June Martz and Mary Lou Bryan; one brother, Warren Harbaugh; four grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Russell; and brother, Robert Harbaugh. A Memorial Service will be held 11am Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Salem Reformed Church, 13182 Salem Church Road, Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Steve Wagoner will officiate. A reception will immediately follow the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
