RICHARD BLAINE DELLINGER, 64, of Thurmont, MD, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. Born in Hagerstown, MD, on January 20, 1952, he was the son of the late Edgar Hammond Dellinger and Betty Jean Kern Dellinger. Richard was a lifetime member and served as a Line Officer with the Antietam Fire Company, a previous member of the North American Rod and Gun Club, and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. He was employed with Callas Contractors for over 30 years. Richard loved watching NASCAR and taking his gun for a walk. Richard is survived by two sons, Matthew Dellinger and Paul Dellinger; his former wife, Linda Dellinger; one brother, David Dellinger and niece, Susan Hixon and her children, Adam, Madeline and Meredith. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 6 to 8pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. There will be no funeral service.
