REBECCA (BECKY) HITE SNYDER, 53, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at her residence, Western Maryland Hospital Center. Born March 15, 1959, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of George Snyder and step-mother, Karen Snyder of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, and the late Helen Wright and step-father, Frederick Wright, Jr. Becky attended Pangborn Elementary School and found her lifelong guardian angel in the late teacher, Anna Eisentrout. After leaving Pangborn, she became a boarding student at the St. Benedictine School in Ridgley, Maryland, until 1980. Becky returned to Hagerstown and began her fulfilling job experience with ARC. Becky's life was surrounded by many individuals who selflessly cared for her. While at her family home, Debbie Myers and Donna Ridenour, of Hagerstown, gave comfort and friendship to Becky, as well as many ARC employees, and most recently, the dedicated medical professionals, staff and fellow residents of Western Maryland Hospital Center. In addition to her father and step-mother, she is survived by her sister, Laura Young and her husband Marshall Young, and brother, George Snyder, Jr., both of Hagerstown; and step-sister, Kelly Ovitz of Marana, Arizona; step-brother, Todd Templin of Pembroke Pine, Florida; nieces, Kathryn Young, and Lindsay and Meredith Snyder; and nephews, Karl Hafer, Jr., and Christian Hafer. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Paige Snyder Graziano. A memorial service will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Louis L Emerick will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Western Maryland Hospital Center Auxiliary, 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742, in memory of Becky Snyder.
