RAYMOND LEE SOCKS, 70, of 13810 Broadfording Church Road, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Friday, May 14, 2010 at his home. Born April 23, 1940 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late George Philip Socks, Sr. and Agnes Viola Kendle Socks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Wiley Socks on December 16, 2006. He was employed with Berwick-Offray Manufacturing. His favorite pastime was dancing and gardening. He is survived by three daughters, Lana Stottlemyer of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania, Rose Litz of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Donna Moats of Williamsport, Maryland; one son, Ramie Socks of Hagerstown; one step-daughter, Rose Dejernett of Hagerstown; stepson, Michael Churchey of Marion, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Geraldine Zeigler, and Nancy Stroup, both of Hagerstown; two brothers, George Philip Socks, Jr., and James Ellis Socks, Sr., both of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Jason Middlekauff, and Ashley Smith, both of Hagerstown, Sean Moats and Devon Moats, both of Williamsport, Maryland, and Remington Socks of Tacoma, Washington; great-grandson, Zachery Middlekauff of Hagerstown; step-grandchildren, Miranda Churchey of Hagerstown, Chase Smith and Lauren Smith, both of Falling Waters, West Virginia, and Zachery Churchey of Maugansville, Maryland; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Moats Socks, Margaret Sines Socks, and Arline Rebecca Miller Socks; and one half-brother, Robert W. Kendle. Memorial services will be held at the Virginia Avenue Church of God, 17306 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown on Monday at 11:00 a. m. Rev. A. Paul Harne will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. Memorial donations may be made to the John R.
