Raymond Grant Miley, 95, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 30, 2018. Born July 20, 1922 in Clear Spring, MD, he was the son of the late Charles B. Miley and Mary E. (Knable) Miley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rose Miley. Raymond served with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a truck driver for Maryland Metals, Inc. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion in Funkstown Post 211. Raymond is survived by two daughters, Vickie Giffin and Marlene Canfield; son, Kenneth Miley, Sr. and wife, Christine; son-in-law, Arthur Stanley; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 adopted great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Stanley. The funeral service will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at 10am. The Rev. Darrell L. Layman will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion, Morris Frock Post 42. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 4th, from 6 to 8pm.
