Raymond E. Lewis, II, 73, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020, at his home. Born December 13, 1946 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Raymond Elwood and Ethel Kea (Wood) Lewis. Raymond was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U. S. Army. He received an AA Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hagerstown Community College and retired from Mack Truck. He is survived by his wife, Cherie L. (LaPole) Lewis; one daughter, Marie L. Whitlow, and husband, Harold, Monroe, VA; two sons, Raymond E. Lewis, III, and wife, Charet, LaMirada, CA, and David A. Lewis, and wife, Michelle, Hagerstown, MD; one sister, Christine D. Lewis, of Thurmont, MD; four grandsons, Jay Lewis, David Lewis, II, John Lewis, and Gabriel Whitlow, and one granddaughter, Danielle Whitlow. Private graveside services were held at Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion. Rev. Ronald K. Faith officiated.
