Rae Varron, a beacon of creativity and intelligence, passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 8, 2025, in Hagerstown, MD, at the age of 93.
Born on November 18, 1931, in Iowa, Rae was a spirited and strong willed woman. Rae's academic journey led her to the University of Miami, where she cultivated her passion for knowledge and honed her innate creativity. Her love for learning was a lifelong affair, and it informed many aspects of her vibrant life.
In her personal life, Rae was an avid crafter, her hands always busy creating beauty in the world. Photography was another of her passions, with countless moments of her family's history captured through her keen and loving eye. She was also an adventurer at heart, traveling to places far and wide, embracing new experiences.
Rae was predeceased by her husband, Angelo Varron with whom she shared a lifetime of memories. She leaves behind her children: Guy Varron (deceased), Claude Varron, Sheila Corbiser, Kenny Varron, Dennis Varron, Angelo Varron, and Lisa Schneider. Each of them carries forward a part of Rae's spirit, as do the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rae's life was a testament to the power of creativity and the enduring strength of the human spirit. Her intelligence shone through in every endeavor she undertook, and her creative touch left a lasting imprint on the world around her. Those who knew Rae will remember her.
