RAE ELIZABETH (SUE) BARTON, 68, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at her home. Born March 18, 1943 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Charlotte G. Recker Cross. She attended Hagerstown High School. She was previously employed at Sears. She was a member of Funkstown American Legion Post 211 Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Wilson (Lenny) Barton; one daughter, Susan L. Barton of Hagerstown; two sons, Donald W. Barton, and wife, Lori, of Hagerstown, and Michael S. Barton, and wife, Jean, of Hagerstown; one sister, Jacqueline Miner of Williamsport, Maryland; one granddaughter, Hannah Barton of Hagerstown; three grandsons, Joseph Barton of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, and Justin Barton and Zachery Barton, both of Hagerstown; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Shrader. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Wednesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Doris J. Doub will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p. m.
