Phil Eugene Thompson, 91, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away February 8, 2026, at his home.

Born August 12, 1934, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Wilbur Osborne and Ruth McNeil (Head) Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean (Myers) Thompson.

Phil was a graduate of Hagerstown High School and proudly served in the United States Army. He was employed by Danzer Metal Works and later retired from Pollution Control Systems. Phil was a devoted member of Mason Friendship Lodge #84 and the Williamsport Red Men Lodge.

He is survived by two daughters, Tamara Powell and Annette Semler; one son, Gregory Thompson; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Thompson and Osborne Thompson.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Randy Reid will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
