PEGGY VIRGINIA DONEGAN, 90, a resident of Homewood at Williamsport and formerly of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017. Born March 5, 1927 in Washington County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry H. Semler, Sr. and Ida Mae (Shrader) Semler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael E. Donegan on November 30, 2004. Peggy had been employed by the Western Maryland Railroad in Baltimore, MD and owned and operated Donegans Liquors in Frederick, MD with her husband prior to her retirement. She is survived by two sisters, Betty Butts, Hagerstown, MD and Nancy Cronise, Boonsboro, MD and a brother, Joseph Semler, Clear Spring, MD. In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by five sisters, Sarah Eby, Gladys Williams, Hilda Baker, Winifred Vickers and Evelyn Clouser and four brothers, Harold Semler, Harry Semler, Jr., Roy Semler and Lloyd Semler. Peggy had been a member of the auxiliaries of the Redmen and the Amvets. Per Peggys wishes a private family viewing will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017. Graveside services will be at Rose Hill Cemetery on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jeffrey L. Shull will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
