Paul Berry Keener, 76, of Maugansville, MD, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Doey's House, surrounded by his family.  Born December 24, 1947 in Maugansville, he was the son of the late Adriel and Lorene (Eckard) Keener.

He proudly served in the US Army where he was a medic in Vietnam. He was awarded two purple hearts and one silver star for bravery.

Paul loved his family more than anything. He was a big supporter of his grandchildren in all their endeavors. He enjoyed golfing and spending time at the family beach house. He would always help others, because he never met a stranger, only new friends.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elaine Keener; two daughters, Tammy Keener (husband, Christopher DeVaughn) and Jacqulyn Masser (husband, Paul); two grandchildren, Nyla and Mason DeVaughn; many nieces and nephews; one sister, Adrena Sheppard; twin brother, David Keener (wife, Nancy) and brother, Lynn Keener.

The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, with Pastor Clayton Clark to officiate at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 6 to 8pm.
